Strutter

I left my bike at Spitfire over the weekend, so the Mad Scientist Paul could check fitment for some new parts he's working on. He's got a grip of SPORTSTER ONLY parts gettin' ready to hit the pavement, built right here in the USA...stay tuned! In the meantime, click the link and be the first kid on your block with a set. Oh, and while your there, purchase a raffle ticket to win the "Ripper Custom" designed and built by the Spitfire crew.

Merc at Spitfire for a photoshoot

I can't show the pix that were taken inside with the bikes/models, so this will have to do. I shot these just in time, shortly after the weather turned to shit, and it started to rain.

R-W-B Iron

Red white and blue is a tough combo to pull of. You either look like a dork, or an Evel Knievel wannabe. This one is the exception to the rule. Thanks for posting this in the QCBF Ed!

Cool tribute to my friend English Don

Hey Johnny, who makes that front wheel?

I've been asked that question a lot lately, so here's the scoop. My buddy Justin who used to own and operate Foundation Choppers here in Orange County CA had them made several years ago. I believe he only had about 3-4 sets total made. The one on my bike is the last known one that's not attached to a Foundation chop. I'm really not a fan of billet wheels on a Sportster, but this one is the exception to the rule.

Below is the actual wheel he used for inspiration. It's a Mickey Thompson Rader from the 60's. They are still being made as re-pops. Recently I found a textured powdercoat that looks like raw cast aluminum. I plan to have the center of mine painted, so it will look more like this one.

So if ya' don't know, now ya' know...
