Swinger Makeover Pt II

Last night Slim and I were at it again in the garage till
bout 1:00am. We have the tank mounted and near
completion, just need to dress the welds around the
filler neck and mounting points.

Next, it was time to get after a set of "one off" bars.
Just like the tank, I described what I wanted and gave
him some basic dimensions and hand gestures showing
the radius's and the what have you. In about an hour
he had a set tacked up EXACTLY how I pictured in my
mind.

Here's where is sits at the moment. It's funky, wrong as
hell...and I'm stoked. Still need to lob about 2-3" off the
ends of the bars, fab up a headlight mount that I have a
few ideas for, and execute a couple aesthetic frame
modifications.

Stay tuned...

I love it. Not much else to say other than that. What are you thinking about doing paint wise? I wish Slim lived near me. I couldn't think of anyone better to be helping with the chopping process. Great work.

Thanks man. I have a grip of ideas for paint, that's actually going to be the hardest part. I change my mind daily...

That is the exact reason my bike is flat black. My taste changes from day to day, and if my bike was some loud funky color I would probably get sick of it and spend a ton of money repainting it all the time. Besides, flat black is the lowest maintenance paint color out there. No waxing, no polishing, no cleaning, just ride the shit out of it. I can't wait to see what you come up with for color. L8er man.
